1985
Smyrna SDA and Cascade Road Church under Elder John Swafford united to become the 400-member Smyrna King Springs Church.
1986
Building program completed as Pastor Dave Smith came to lead the congregation.
1990
Pastor Paul Hoover arrived after a six month pastoral vacancy with great enthusiasm swelling the membership to 500.
1995
29 acre property is purchased on Macedonia Road to build future church. Pastor Denver Cavins steps into a debt-free church.
1998
Smyrna King Springs property is sold, and the congregation temporarily rents Tapp Middle School starting in December of that year.
1999
Pastor Denver Cavins announces his retirement from ministry and Mike Larsen is brought in to be pastor.
2001
The congregation moves to Fambrough Drive to meet in a warehouse converted to a sanctuary. Cascade Elementary School is temporarily closed till the new facility can be completed.
2002
Pastor Mike Larsen retires from the ministry. The Church prepares to break ground in the fall for it's new worship center. Pastor Peter Kulakov joins Lakeview.
2003
Lakeview starts church construction on Macedonia Rd property.
2004
Lakeview moves into their new building on the Macedonia Rd. property

First Light of Hope Television aired on the AIB network in metro Atlanta
July 1, 2007
First Light of Hope Television aired on the CNL International Satellite Network
